Samantha Jamieson is a quintessential rich girl.  She grew up having the best of everything and never having to work to have it.  Her sheltered life consisted of private schools, parties and becoming "groomed" for the life her parents want for her to have.  It revolved around making sure that the family company stayed IN the family, and that means Samantha has to marry someone her father deems capable of taking over Jamieson Global.  But when Samantha actually HEARS her father having the "marriage" talk with the man she has been seeing (and doesn't love), she finally decides she has had enough of her life being dictated by her parents wants/needs and leaves.  With no where to go, she ends up on the other side of town in a popular bar, Kincaid's.

Clay "Saint" Kincaid knows what it feels like to be down on your luck and at the mercy of others.  So when he sees a very drunk Samantha (aka Cupcake) at the end of his bar, he can't help but help the beautiful, out-of-place blonde.  And when Sam asks him for a job and a place to stay, he thinks that this "Cupcake" will be running home to her parents by the end of the night.  But what he doesn't expect is his cupcake to not be afraid of hard work and go after what she wants in life, including him!

Dirty, Sexy Saint is a quick, steamy read.  You could feel the chemistry between Sam and Clay!! I loved how each character grew and discovered that while they are strong as individuals, their love and respect for each other makes them stronger as a COUPLE.

Looking forward to the other Kincaid brothers HEA!!

Known by Kendra Elliot

Book Description
After a brutal snowstorm in the Cascade Mountains, Chris Jacobs discovers two things he never expected to see: the charred shell of a cabin, and Gianna Trask and her sixteen-year-old daughter huddled in an SUV, having barely escaped from their burning vacation rental.
Still scarred from a childhood ordeal, Chris knows there’s something sinister about the scene—it’s the stench of burned flesh.
Forced to wait out the blizzard in their rescuer’s retreat, medical examiner Gianna Trask wonders if her hidden past has finally caught up with her. When a body is found in the destroyed cabin’s ashes and a forest ranger is brutally murdered, both Gianna and Chris must confront their secrets if they want to escape the violent threat lurking outside.
In the fifth book in the Bone Secrets series, Kendra Elliot leads readers on a dangerous, twisting journey of two lives forever changed by a fiery snowstorm in the mountains.

AVAILABLE: January 19, 2016

A Bone Secrets Novel
Hidden (Book 1)
Chilled (Book 2)
Buried (Book 3)
Veiled  *novella*
Alone (Book 4)
Known (Book 5)

Known by Kendra Elliot is the fifth book in her Bone Secrets series.  While each book focuses on a new "couple", and can be read as a standalone, I fully recommend reading these in order so you really get the backstory of certain characters.

We first met Chris Jacobs in Buried.  And since then, Chris (with his son Brian) has been trying to move forward with his life and become a more active part of society.  But Chris is still a work-in-progress, which leads him to his cabin in the Cascade Range where he isn't bothered by people (his closest neighbor was about a mile away) or technology (NO WI-FI or cell service!!!).  Early one morning, Chris is awoken by the smell of heavy smoke and goes to see if anyone needs help.  What he discovers is a shell of a cabin and a sick Gianna and her scared teenage daughter, Violet, stuck in her SVU.

From that moment on, Known takes you on a continual action-packed ride full of surprises, murder, and a growing relationship between Chris and Gianna.  I thought this story was fast paced and kept me guessing as to who and why someone was targeting Gianna.

After Love by Kathy Clark

Book Description

DEA agent Nick Archer puts his life on the line every day. A former Marine, he fears nothing . . . except commitment. Nick has no trouble finding women eager to warm his bed, and no problem sending them on their way the morning after. Relationships don't mix with risky careers, a fact Nick learned the hard way after his marriage fell apart. He'd go it alone if it weren't for his new K-9 partner—and the stunning trainer who makes Nick sit up and take notice.

Just like her service dogs, Jamie Chambers knows how to sniff out trouble. From the moment Nick swaggers into her kennel, she knows he's heartbreak waiting to happen, and he wastes no time getting under her skin. Hell, he doesn't even like dogs. As a cop's widow, Jamie has felt the sting of loss in the line of duty, yet she recognizes something of her own pain in Nick's smoldering gaze. Jamie knows there are no guarantees in life. But a moment of pleasure, however fleeting, holds the promise of forever—and for that, Jamie's willing to take the plunge.

AVAILABLE: January 19, 2016

After a string of bad luck with his job, DEA agent Nick Archer is getting a new partner.  His new partner is loyal to the cause and highly trained in sniffing out drug busts.  He also likes long walks, playing tug-of-war, and licking his own.... well... yeaah.  But he's a dog, what do you expect.  Nick isn't thrilled about having a new partner, K-9 or not.  But when he sees the trainer, Nick seems to be more accepting about the whole process.

Jamie Chambers has devoted the last few years (after her husband's death) to her work.  She has had the great love of her life and isn't looking to repeat the past.  But she misses sex, and something about Nick makes her think he'll be okay with a "friends-with-benefits" arrangement until Jamie get's him out of her system.

But with Nick working a dangerous undercover job at a local college, will Jamie be okay with the possibly of the past repeating itself.  Especially after she starts to fall for the man??

I feel like I've read this book before.  To me there was nothing unique or special about After Love.  It was just an okay book for me.  I felt like I was missing some key piece on the story involving Nick.  I don't know if he was a secondary character in a different Kathy Clark series (since this was the first book in her Austin Heroes series)  I didn't particulary care for Jamie.  I just can't quite put my finger on why this book was just okay for me... Also for Nick being just a great agent, he sure was "messing" up a lot.

Just one of those books, I guess..

Forgotten Promises by Jessica Lemmon

Book Description

Morgan Young had a perfect upbringing, and now she's got a perfect boyfriend and a perfect future—until her twenty-first birthday changes everything. First Morgan finds out, in the most painful way possible, that her relationship is a sham. But that's nothing compared to the nightmare about to unfold.

It's too late for Tucker Noscalo. A brutal childhood left him with a bad reputation and a criminal record. Fresh out of jail, Tucker has a score to settle with Baybrook's crooked chief of police—his own father. Nobody will believe Tucker's explosive accusations without proof and a good lawyer, neither of which he has on his side. Until he sees someone he used to know, someone who just so happens to be the daughter of the best lawyer in the county.

He needs Morgan to convince her father of the ugly truth. But first he has to convince her, and he'll do whatever it takes to get her to listen. Confronted by the story of Tucker's dark past, Morgan feels utterly compelled to help him. And as their connection grows into a fierce bond fueled by raw passion, Morgan finds herself falling for the wrong guy—but never has the promise of love felt so right.

AVAILABLE: January 19, 2016

On the night of her twenty-first birthday, Morgan Young's perfect little life takes a turn.  She discovers that her boyfriend and her best friend have been cheating on her.  Morgan decides to get drunk to cover up the pain of losing her (ex) best friend and (ex) boyfriend.  She goes to the first convenience store on her long walk home to get some cheap wine when she runs into someone she remembers from school.

Tucker Noscalo is fresh off of serving a eighteen month prison sentence for beating his father, who happens to be the local chief of police.  No one believed him before about the kind of man his father is, and no one will believe him now without the proof that Tucker has AND a good lawyer.  As luck would have it, in walks Morgan Young, the daughter of one of the best lawyers in the state.  Now, all Tucker has to do is convince Morgan of the truth, and he will do whatever it takes to get her to listen to him...

My heart broke for Tucker and all that he's gone through in his life.  And I understood (not that I agreed with) his actions with getting Morgan to listen to him.  It was nice to see Morgan get him to really open up and trust her, something that Tucker has never been able to do.  She was patient and understanding with a VERY damaged Tucker.

For Seven Nights Only by Sarah Ballance

Book Description

Kelsie Reed is over bad luck and bad men. Newly dumped, she’s now the pathetically single maid of honor in her sister's wedding—and her ex is the best man. Her bad luck continues when a plumbing meltdown in her apartment sends her sexy neighbor running to her rescue. He’s got "serial dater"written all over him, which is unfortunate because the man is hot.
Sawyer Chase loves women, but settling down? He’ll leave that to his brothers. But when Kelsie confesses she’s a dating disaster and is about to become the laughing stock of her family wedding, Sawyer takes control. He's got one week to teach her how to land the man of her dreams, and he’ll do it on her terms: no touching, no kissing, and definitely nothing more.
But some rules need to be broken, especially when, for once, there’s something on the line worth fighting for…

AVAILABLE: January 18, 2016

Kelsie Reed is a dating disaster.  Recently dumped by her boyfriend for a more "exciting" woman, Kelsie doesn't want to show up to her sister's wedding dateless (where her ex is the best man to her maid of honor).  While preparing for yet ANOTHER blind date, she suffers a plumbing disaster that has her sexy downstairs neighbor rushing upstairs to help.

After witnessing Kelsie's disaster of a date attempt, Sawyer Chase take "pity" on his upstairs neighbor and offers to help her.  If she will give him seven dates (two weeks till Kelsie's sister's wedding), Sawyer turn her into an irresistible woman.  He has to follow Kelsie's rules: no touching, no kissing, and DEFINITELY no sex.

And as their time together nears an end, Sawyer discovers that maybe some relationship can make it long term.  But will Kelsie believe that this playboy isn't wanting to playing games anyomore?

I found the title of For Seven Nights Only to be a little deceptive.  It was SEVEN DATES, which spread out over two weeks, not one week.  I didn't really connect with these characters.  Sawyer was bored and wanted a "challenge" in making Kelsie irresistible (then repeately got jealous when a man would talk to her).  While Kelsie (who accepted his "help") was judgmental and questioned basically everything out of Sawyer's mouth.  It got old.  I mean, I don't think Sawyer really needed to "use lines" on Kelsie if he was so desperate to get laid.

Loving Her Crazy by Kira Archer

Book Description

Iris Clayton is supposed to be on a tropical island, soaking up the sun and a few dozen mojitos. Instead, she’s snowbound in Chicago overnight, holding out hope the morning flight isn’t cancelled. Good thing there’s a hot cowboy to keep her company. And it doesn’t hurt that Mr. Tall, Calm, and Sun-Streaked can make her tremble with one sultry look from under his well-worn hat.
Montana rancher Nash Wallace sucks at ice skating, has no clue what a selfie is, and may be a tad averse to breaking and entering, but being with Iris makes him want to bend a few rules. Or, hell, throw them out the window altogether. She’s fun, spontaneously crazy, and can rock a Muppet fur coat like no one’s business. He’s falling hard and fast, but wanting to spend his life with someone after one night is insane.
Except, nothing has ever felt so right, and neither of them wants the night to end…

Crazy Love Series

Driving Her Crazy (Book 1)
Kissing Her Crazy (Book 2) for my review click HERE
Loving Her Crazy (Book 3)

Loving Her Crazy is the third book in Kira Archer's Crazy Love series.  It is taking place simultaneously as Kissing Her Crazy.  And I liked this book SOOOOO much better than Kissing Her Crazy.

Iris Clayton is best friends with Lena Oserkowski (Kissing Her Crazy).  She is TRYING to get to a tropical island but the weather doesn't seem to be on board (hehe... get it?! Don't mine me... it's been a long day) with her plan.  Iris is stuck in Chicago in the middle of a snow storm, and can't get on another flight till the next morning.

Stuck in the same situation is Nash Wallace, who is trying to get to his little brother's college graduation in Miami.  After talking to Iris on the plane, he approaches her again in the terminal.  From there a night of spontaneous fun, sexy dancing, and law-breaking shenanigans leaves them both learning more about themselves and each other.

As the night progresses, both question whether what they are beginning to feel for each other is crazy after only one night.  And what happens when their night is over and they reach their destination?

Loving Her Crazy was a surprising read for me.  After reading Kissing Her Crazy (and really disliking it), I was skeptical about reading another one.  But Loving Her Crazy was a great book (especially after reading an emotionally draining book).  It was just what I needed.  It was a quick, sweet, sexy, funny read with no drama or conflict.  If you are looking for that kind of book, then definitely check out Loving Her Crazy.

Make Me Sin by J.T. Geissinger

Book Description

Chloe Carmichael’s life feels pretty sweet—she’s both maid of honor and florist for her best friend’s A-list wedding, things are getting serious with her boyfriend, and her flower shop is about to get a spread in a national magazine. But it all quickly turns sour whenever the best man, Bad Habit drummer A.J. Edwards, shows his face...his handsome, unforgettable face. A.J. is everything Chloe doesn’t want: tattooed, selfish, and all-around bad news. So why can’t she stop thinking about him?
Goody two-shoes Chloe isn’t exactly A.J.’s type, either, but the chemistry between them is undeniable. A.J. will be the first to say he isn’t a saint, but there’s something he’s not saying—something that would devastate Chloe. The only way he can protect her is to push her away, but the drummer finds he needs her now more than ever. When a wedding-day confrontation reveals secrets they’re both hiding, will Chloe and A.J. ever find their rhythm again?

Make Me Sin is the second book in J.T. Geissinger Bad Habit series.  This is the first book I've read by this author and I NEED to go back and read the first in this series.  Not because I felt I was missing something in this book, but because I fell in LOVE with these characters and the writing.  I feel that you can definitely read Make Me Sin without reading the first book (Sweet As Sin) and not miss a thing.

I always try to include MY description of the book in my review.  But this one... I just can't.  This book is so much more than the "blurb" on the back and I don't feel that I can give a good description of Make Me Sin without giving something away.  YOU HAVE TO READ IT.  I think I went through every emotion you possibly could reading this book.  I laughed, cried, got angry, shocked, etc.  It was emotional whiplash, but in a good way (if that makes any sense).  It actually took me a couple days to decompress after reading this book and get my thoughts together in order to write this review.
