Draw Me Close by Nicole Michaels

Book Description

Lindsey Morales is a decorating genius with a natural flair for design and an eye for a bargain. As a contributor to a popular lifestyle blog, she can take anything from trash to treasure-except for her own life. Burned once, and badly, she's more than twice shy, especially when it comes to the breathtaking builder who broke her heart...

Architect Derek Walsh has made a name for himself designing sleekly modern buildings, but when renovating a hundred-year-old farmhouse gives him the chance to see Lindsey again, he jumps at it. Still dreaming about her after eight long years apart, he'll do anything to prove that he's serious about spending the future with her. Can he convince sassy, stubborn Lindsey that they can DIY their own happy ending?

Hearts and Crafts
Start Me Up (Book 1)
Win Me Over (Book 2)
Draw Me Close (Book 3)

Draw Me Close is the third and final book in Nicole Michaels Hearts and Crafts series.  This was also the first book I've read by this author and definitely want to go back and read the first two of the series.  Each book can be read as a standalone since each focuses on a different couple.

Lindsey Morales and Derek Walsh have a history.  They first met in college and had a fast, yet intense, relationship before Derek broke both their hearts by ending their relationship.  Now, eight years later, Derek is divorced and looking to repair the relationship with only woman he has ever truly loved.  Only problem, Lindsey wants NOTHING to do with him.

"You're right.  I fucked up everything, it was my fault and I hate myself for it.  But the only time wasted was all the years of my life you weren't mine.  I think I can afford to waste a few more trying to make it up to you." - Derek

Lindsey is determined to make her best friend's new home everything she wants.  Even if that means working with Derek.  But just because they have to work together doesn't mean that she has to see him or even talk to him directly.  She has become the QUEEN of the neon post-it note directions.  But as determined as she is to avoid all things Derek, Derek is just as determined to talk to her.  And an unexpected injury requires Lindsey to accept Derek's help and forces them to spend time together.

But will Derek be able to convince Lindsey that he is worth giving a second chance to?  And will Lindsey be able to let go of the hurt and bitterness that she has been carrying around for eight years?
